If you ever wondered what a Ferrari SF90 Stradale looks like with an Alfa Romeo front, you can now find the answer in a digital rendering that was published online recently.
Created by Instagram artist Andras Veres, the face swap imagines a mix of the SF90 and an Alfa Romeo for the creation of a sportscar that doesn’t necessarily look bad but which is obviously very unlikely to ever see the daylight.
Baptized by the designer Alfa Romeo “Otranto,” this digital artwork imagines not only a cool sports car that could actually compete against Ferrari’s models, but also a new PHEV coming from Italy.
Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which gets its name from the F90 Formula One car, is essentially a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle that’s supposed to impress with its performance thanks to the implementation of a hybrid powertrain.
The car is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 769 horsepower, while also coming with three separate electric motors that add 217 horsepower. Overall, the engine develops 986 horsepower, enough to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in no less than 2.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 340 km/h (211 mph) according to Ferrari, while going from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) takes only 6.7 seconds, according to the official figures.
Since its name reminds of the Formula 1 car, Ferrari wanted the performance to be as impressive as possible, so in addition to focusing a lot on the engine, the Italian company also tried to improve other key areas specifically to allow for a faster acceleration and higher speed.
For example, the SF90 Stradale comes with a rear wing whose design is based on the Drag Reduction System, or DRS, used in Formula 1, and it helps improve downforce. The SF90 Stradale is also the first Ferrari model to come with matrix LED headlight technology for improved visibility in all driving conditions.
