Tiny houses on wheels invite us to reconnect with nature and spend more time enjoying the outdoors. The Tiny Duo model, designed in France, adds a luxurious touch to this experience: it boasts not just a large deck but also a beautiful terrace up on the roof. You'll forget all about interior space limitations with this lovely home that truly opens to the outdoors.
Tiny houses on wheels (THOWs) are, by definition, limited in terms of size. Still, certain clever additions can expand the overall surface as if by magic while maintaining the advantages of mobile living. In other words, a home like this may be small yet fitted with a surprisingly large deck or a comfortable roof terrace. The Tiny Duo 660 from Tiny Houses Bimify flaunts both of these for a truly luxurious connection to the outdoors.

The Tiny Duo doesn't have a fixed size. It can be built on a frame as small as 5.4 meters (17.7 feet) or as big as 8.4 meters (27.5 feet), with a maximum height of a little over four meters (13.7 feet). This is why the total surface can also vary from 17 square meters (183 square feet) to 24.5 square meters (263 square feet).

Tiny Duo's configuration includes a living area, compact kitchen, full bathroom at ground floor level, and a loft bedroom. The spacious living room makes it ideal for a couple who likes to have friends and family visit them often, with guests staying overnight. Unlike other homes on wheels with a similar layout, the Tiny Duo feels much bigger thanks to the generous extensions in the form of an outside deck and roof terrace.

The terrace can be accessed from the inside, and it's fitted with an elegant protection railing all around. It's placed so that it offers wonderful 360-degree views while connecting to the loft bedroom. This terrace alone would be enough to offer an outdoor entertainment area for the owners of Tiny Duo. Yet the Bimify team took things to the next level by adding an optional deck, big enough to house comfy seating for all the guests, plus a wonderful outdoor bathtub.

With both a spacious terrace and a large deck, the Tiny Duo is instantly elevated to a luxurious status. At the same time, its interior style is a perfect match. There's nothing rustic or outdated about this small dwelling.

The kitchen looks premium thanks to the high-quality materials and appliances, including an electric built-in oven, induction plate, and large fridge. Custom-made cabinets provide abundant storage. The bathroom is equally stylish and well-equipped, including a custom-made vanity.

The Tiny Duo doesn't come with a separate dining arrangement, and the limited countertop space doesn't allow it to double as a breakfast bar. However, the living area could also work as a dining room. Instead of a basic sofa, this room features a large, U-shaped sofa with a big table in the center. This particular setup makes it ideal for game nights with friends, relaxing family evenings, and even dining.

Oversized windows, together with glass doors, provide ample natural light inside this part of the house. The atypical layout allows for the TV to be comfortably placed on a console instead of being mounted on the wall. A beautiful wood-carved separation panel ensures privacy, also adding a touch of glam to the overall interior décor. It's a great solution for keeping the kitchen and the living area separate without blocking the views or limiting circulation.

The solution for upstairs access is also atypical. With loft tiny houses, we usually see either a massive staircase with integrated storage or a basic ladder that can stay out of the way when not in use. In this case, we get a bit of both. A classic wooden ladder connects the main floor to the loft bedroom, yet it's fixed and fitted with contrasting shelves for additional storage.

The loft bedroom can be smaller or bigger depending on what the future owners choose, and it benefits from multiple windows that keep it luminous and well-ventilated. The view of the outside terrace makes it feel bigger and more luxurious.

The French builder offers multiple choices when it comes to heating and air-conditioning systems, appliances, and the home's exterior. Like all the Bimify homes, the Tiny Duo boasts a frame that can be made of steel, wood, or brick.

The eco-responsible cladding can be made of poplar, Douglas fir, or maritime pine, using the trendy clerestory method or the traditional Shou Sugi Ban (burnt wood). In terms of insulation, customers also have a wide range of sustainable options to choose from, including recycled cotton, wool, and hemp.

The turnkey version of the beautiful Tiny Duo, which includes a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, can cost as much as €81,410 ($89,000). Bimify also offers a basic self-construction option for each design, in which case pricing would be around €15,234 ($16,600). Of course, the optional deck equals additional costs regardless of the finish level. Still, the ability to enjoy both a terrace and a deck with a home on wheels is priceless in the world of tiny living.
