Dodge recently took to the web to release a Christmas ad, though enthusiasts quickly noticed the Easter Egg in the form of a teaser that put the spotlight on the next-gen Charger. It was an official rendering showing the brand's upcoming muscle car, which stayed true to the appealing Charger Daytona SRT Concept.
The overall looks were very similar to last year's study, yet the face was reshaped, consisting of a pair of round headlamps. The greenhouse was also different, and it appears to feature a redesigned back end, too. It has conventional door handles, bigger side mirror casings, a new front bumper, and a new hood.

Albeit unofficial, the latest intel suggests the all-new Dodge Charger will launch with three powertrain options. All of them will be pure electric, with the base flavor getting 402 horsepower (408 ps/300 kW) from its single motor driving the rear wheels. An all-wheel-drive version with two motors and 670 hp (680 ps/500 kW) is also said to be in the works. The range-topper is expected to have 885 hp (898 ps/660 kW) combined.

Chances are the muscle car could also launch with internal combustion power, as suggested by the leaked images of a prototype that showed what appeared to be a transmission tunnel. The supplier apparently said it had an inline-six. Do you know what else is expected with such a mill? The upcoming Ram 1500 TRX, yet we wouldn't be surprised if they turn out to be different engines.

At the same time, we wouldn't hold our breath for an ICE-powered next-gen Charger. However, launching it with EV and ICE units would give it the edge over the new Ford Mustang, which is only available with a turbo'd straight-four and a naturally aspirated V8 in two outputs, with up to 500 hp in the Dark Horse. As for the launch date, it will be available in late 2024, hitting the market as a 2025 model year.

As you can assume, the next Dodge Charger has already captured the attention of the rendering crowd, with several independent artists trying to imagine what it could look like. The latest CGIs we came across have Auto Om TV on YouTube behind them, and they are on the unrealistic side of things. The digital illustrations in question draw some traits from the current Charger, mixing them with a few components inspired by the sexy Daytona SRT Concept, yet as we've all seen, the car will actually look different.

We cannot wait to see the first prototypes driving on public roads, and that should happen in the next few weeks or perhaps months. In the meantime, what's your opinion about the upcoming Charger's look and its battery-electric power, maybe enhanced with one or more ICE options?
