Genesis has brought the 2024 G70 to Australia. The model comes in both body styles, Sedan and Shooting Brake, and is offered in a single configuration for each one.
Priced from AU$81,000 (US$53,023), the 2024 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake is in the Sport Line Luxury trim level and packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 179 kW (243 ps/240 hp) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque.

Choosing the 2024 Genesis G70 Sedan Sport Luxury, which starts at AU$88,000 (US$57,605), will automatically upgrade your car with the punchier 3.3-liter unit, which develops 274 kW (373 ps/367 hp) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft). Both versions feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. A single option is available, limited to the four-door model: the matte paint finish, which adds AU$2,000 (US$1,309) to the MLP.

Regardless of the body style, all of them have front sports seats, alloy pedals, aluminum trim, leather upholstery, suede headliner, electro-chromatic rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control with a 6-inch display, 10.25-inch infotainment system, and 12.3-inch digital gauges. The head-up display, smartphone connectivity, 15-speaker audio, digital radio, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, power-operated tailgate/trunk, and panoramic sunroof are also standard.

Some of the novelties include connected car services, over-the-air updates, frameless rearview mirror, updated logos, and intelligent speed limit assist. Speaking of the safety gear, the 2024 G70 is also equipped with a high-beam assist, blind spot view monitor, driver attention warning, safe exit warning, lane following, lane keeping, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, smart cruise control, etc.

Genesis says a 5-year/unlimited-kilometer warranty accompanies all 2024 G70s, safe for those used for commercial applications. The complimentary scheduled servicing for five years/75,000 km (46,602 miles) is also included, alongside the Genesis To You (5 years/unlimited kilometers) and 24/7 Roadside Assistance (10 years/unlimited kilometers).

Genesis has already presented the 2024 G70 (in sedan form) for the United States last month. The model sold in our market has swapped the 2.0L four-pot for a 2.5-liter turbo, making 300 hp (304 ps/224 kW) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque. This power unit joins the 3.3L V6 turbo rated at 365 hp (370 ps/272 kW), returning 18 mpg (13.1 l/100 km) in the city and 27 mpg (8,7 l/100 km) on the highway. The fuel economy ratings for the new engine have yet to be announced.

Moreover, the Korean premium carmaker hasn't disclosed the MSRP for the 2024 G70 either, stating that all prices will be announced later. Nonetheless, we expect it to be a bit more expensive compared to the 2023 MY, which starts at $39,400 in the base grade. The most affordable V6-powered variant has an MSRP of $44,900, and the priciest exceeds $47,000, excluding destination and dealer fees.
