We’re witnessing a massive market shift in terms of price bubbles bursting in real time. This type of thing now happens on a daily basis, to the point where we could literally see people getting fed up with the way things were going and pushing for a change. Well, this change is now happening before our very eyes.
Think about this – just a few months ago, we saw a C8 Z06 that sold for $192,000 at auction, a full $25,000 over MSRP! So how do you go from $25k over MSRP to roughly $8k under MSPR in such a short period of time? It takes a lot of people pulling in the same direction, that’s how.

It also shows that private parties are more likely to “just want to sell already” as opposed to dealerships that fight tooth and nail for getting their reserves met.

I may be wrong, but this could be the first-ever used 2023 Corvette Z06 sold for, let’s say, considerably less than its MSRP. Granted, $8,000 isn’t much for a supercar buyer, but it’s a lot more than $1,500 or so, because most other Z06 Vettes that went for less or around MSRP at auction always hovered around that mark, give or take.

Also, it’s not like this particular Z06 has some bum spec. It’s still a Convertible 3LZ model. It was purchased new by the seller for $161,895, and just yesterday, with 1,000 miles on the clock, they let it go for $154,000.

There’s a lot to like about it, starting with the Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic exterior, featuring those Carbon Flash Metallic racing stripes over the top. You also get LED headlights and a set of carbon fiber 20” and 21” five-spoke wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and yellow-painted calipers over the carbon-ceramic rotors. This Vette also comes with a front-axle lift system and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

The cabin is gorgeous, with power-adjustable Jet Black GT2 bucket seats (heated and ventilated), loads of carbon fiber trim, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, remote start, a carbon fiber and leather-trimmed steering wheel, and an 8” touchscreen with Chevrolet Infotainment 3.

As for the power unit, you already know it’s a beast. Actually, it’s the entire drivetrain that makes the C8 Z06 such a formidable supercar. It’s got a 5.5-liter flat-plane LT6 V8 engine, sending 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a Tremec TR-9080 eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Over a quarter mile, this here is a 10-second car, which is how you make Dominic Toretto proud – at least it would have worked back when his character arc was somewhat reality-based. Today, you’d probably need to travel at warp speed to get him to raise an eyebrow.
