The session, which took place earlier this month, allows us to see the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo in production trim.
Sure, the Carrera versions of the next-gen Neunelfer is expected to land at the end of the month, via the Los Angeles Auto Show. However, we'll have to wait until next year to meet the 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo and the 2020 Porsche 911 GT3.
And while we've discussed the prodution version of the 992 GT3, we now want to focus on the next-gen Turbo.
As is the case with the outgoing 991.2 model, the 992 Turbo will pack active aero. For instance, that uber-low front lip is only deployed when necessary and, with the spoiler in a retracted position, the Neunelfer has the kind of ground clearance that reinforces its status as a practical supercar.
And while that doesn't come as a surprise, the active wing adorning the posterior of the flat-six wielder seems to be considerably langer than that of the retiring model.
Nevertheless, the greatest question revolves around the twin-turbo boxer that is fed through the traditional air intakes placed just before the rear wheels.
In its quest for efficiency, Zuffenhausen might drop the current 3.8-liter TT flat-six in favor of an all-new engine.
As for the Turbo S, the rumor mill talks about this morphing into the Turbo S E-Hybrid, a 700 horsepower monster. However, while Porsche has confirmed the hybridisation of the 992, we could always see a deviation for the two-hybrids range model of the Panamera and Cayenne, so perhaps the 911 will only come in 4 E-Hybrid form.
Actually, the 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo only makes a cameo appearance in the spy video and you'll find this at the 2:16 point of the clip. However, we wouldn't rush through the video, since the rest of it is focused on the Porsche Taycan.
