Mitsubishi has released the first ever image of its brand new 2013 Outlander crossover, while also promising a full reveal of the vehicle at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month. Looking very much like the hybrid concepts we’ve seen in recent years, the new Mitsu’ will face very stiff competition but looks like the hottest model they’ve got right now.
In Europe, it will come with either a 2.0 liter MIVEC petrol or a 2.2-liter MIVEC Clean Diesel that makes use of Auto Stop & Go technology and a new 6-speed automatic.
The European market will also get that EV-based plug-in version that only emits 50 grams per km of CO2. However, they will focus on getting those all-important CO2 levels down to below 130 g/km.
Oddly enough, the Outlander will launch in Russia first, followed by the rest of Europe, Japan and North America in the later part of the summer.
