We’re already familiar with the new look of the Renault Twingo RS, but the car has come back into focus as the French carmaker is launching the facelifted version soon. Starting February 20th, the regular RS will be on sale in France for €16,900 and the Gordini version with a leather interior will cost €18,100.
The facelift means you now have a distinctive new front bumper that incorporates an F1-style lower blade in the lower part. Also new are the Sirius Yellow body finish, a tailgate mounted lip spoiler and diffuser rear bumper.
Both cars come with the same normally aspirated 1.6-litre engine developing 133 HP (98 kW) at 6,750 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. While you don’t get anymore power, Renault says, it’s made the engine 3% more efficient and 3.2% cleaner.
But what does the Gordini RS have to demand such a huge price tag. Well, it comes with a number of premium features, including 17 inch diamond effect black wheels, leather trim and automatic climate control.
