Have you ever noticed how every time you go on a second hand car site, you are bombarded by thousands of used Audis and BMWs but something like a Megane RS or a Fiesta ST is as rare as a four-leaf clover? There’s a good reason for that - production isn’t that high, and nor is demand.
However, the Renault’s Novo mesto plant in Slovenia has reached its first significant production milestone for the little Twingo RS, the car that can do the tango, the twist and packs a 133 hp 1.6-liter.

Here’s an interesting fact that was revealed: the RS version of the Twingo only accounts for 1.3 percent of the overall sales. However, you can’t really take anything away from the performance capabilities of little go kart for the road, as it has been setting the benchmark for performance in the segment.

The landmark 10,000th Twingo RS is a Gordini version with blue bodywork and contrasting white accents, including racing stripes. A facelifted version of the car has been unveiled recently and will reach the European market in 2012.
