Probably the most anticipated production car at the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto Show has finally made its debut, as the all-new 2012 HOnda CR-V has been unveiled today. This is the forth generation of the iconic name, which will go on sale as a 2012MY starting December 15th in North America
The design of the 2012 CR-V is aggressive at the front and practical at the back. The guard that’s incorporated into the front bumper makes it more muscular without ruining the aerodynamics. Inside, you’ve got seating for five people, with the back bench offering a 60/40 split for increased cargo carrying capacity. The 2012 model also has features like Pandora internet radio or SMS text reading functions, all accessible through the new intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID).

The new generation brings about a fresh 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine with 184 hp and 163 lb-ft, which is mated to a five-speed auto. The FWD version is expected to get an estimated 23 city, 31 highway and 26 mpg combined.

The standard LX trim level comes with air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, i-MID, remote entry, a 160-watt, a 4-speaker audio system, Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS). The CR-V EX adds an upgraded six-speaker audio system, power moonroof, 17-inch alloy wheels and more. The CR-V EX-L builds on the rich features of the CR-V EX and adds a leather-trimmed interior, 10-way power driver's seat, automatic dual-zone climate control, 328-watt 7-speaker audio system with XM Radio and much more.
