Honda has announced a massive seven concept vehicles for this year’s Tokyo Auto Show, but not all of them will interest you or us for that matter. This one stands a good chance though, as it’s an all-electric sportscar concept with proper looks and attitude to match.
These are the first official sketches of the Small Sports EV, and we don’t have any official details of the powertrain. It’s being described as “a next-generation EV sports model which maximizes the fun of driving while achieving excellent environmental performance."
The Sports EV is also a clear departure in terms of design, with a hexagonal grille and angular lights. The wheelbase is short and the overhangs almost non-existent, so it’s been designed for the city.
The only electric Honda powertrain we know of will be in the Fit EV, which has a range of about 100 miles (160 km) and will be able to reach a top speed of 100 miles/h (160 km/h). Let’s hope they can do a little better with this one.
