Subaru BRZ to Enter 2012 Super GT Series

As if the Subaru BRZ wasn't anticipated with enough emotion already, Subaru now announced that it will also use the car to make its racing comeback.
Thus, a beefed-up version of the BRZ that will enter Japan's Super GT series, will be a spiritual successor to the Imprezas that made history in the World Rally Championship.

Subaru Tehnica International (STI) isn't aiming for the top tier GT500, where the big boys like the Nissan GT-R, Honda HSV and Lexus LFA play, but will place the car in the GT300 category instead, which means that the vehicle will replace the current STI contender, which is based on the Legacy. Thus, the vehicle will be limited to 300 hp.

We're pretty sure that this is just the start of the Toyobaru's motorsport activity...
