APRILIA SR Max 125 (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2011, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia SR Max 125, a scooter with styling inspired by the Aprilia RSV4 Superbike. It was available alongside the larger 300cc version and was created to compete with larger scooters, like the Suzuki Burgman and Yamaha T-Max.

The 2011 model came in the same shape and form as the previous one, packing the same technical, visual, and performance specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.

Its visual department was characterized by standard features, such as a body covered with fairings, a dual headlight system, a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

In the performance department, the 2011 Aprilia SR Max 125 had installed a 124cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine underneath its fairings, boasting 15 hp with a peak force at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm.

Suspension-wise, the scooter was built around a double-cradle steel trellis frame with a 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork on the front and preload-adjustable shock absorbers on the rear, delivering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

The scooter was kept on the safe side by a 260 mm brake disc mounted on the front wheel and a 240 mm brake disc mounted on the rear wheel. Both discs were handled by hydraulic calipers, offering optimum stopping power.
