APRILIA Sportcity One 50 (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia Sportcity One 50, a scooter that debuted in 2008 and was created for those riders searching for an alternative transportation machine in the busy city traffic.

The Aprilia Sportcity was a scooter made by Aprilia from 2004 until 2013. It belonged to the high-wheel scooter category and was also sold by Derbi from 2008 to 2013 as the Derbi Rambla.

In 2008, part of the new generation, the Sportcity One was visually revised with new colors, no more chromed profiles, a painted under-footboard, a small fairing integrated into the handlebar, revised aesthetics and buttons, and the same instrument panel as the Scaraebo Light.

The scooter had standard features in the visual department, like a dual headlight system, a small wind deflector, a one-piece dual seat with passenger handles, a single exhaust system mounted on the right-hand side, and ten-spoke aluminum wheels.

The scooter was built around a single-cradle high tensile steel tube frame with a 32 mm telescopic fork on the front and a single adjustable shock absorber on the rear.

As for power, the 2009 Aprilia Sportcity One 50 was set in motion by a 49cc two-stroke single-cylinder horizontally-mounted engine fed by a carburetor. It delivered the power to the rear wheel through an automatic gearbox with a centrifugal dry clutch.
