APRILIA RXV 550 (2013-2014) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2013, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RXV 550, the bigger sister of the 450cc model. It was arguably one of the most potent enduro motorcycles in its class.

The Aprilia RXV was a range of four-stroke V-twin off-road motorcycles produced by Aprilia starting in 2006. The bike was available in 450 and 550cc versions. Alongside the RXV, the maker released the SXV series, a dual-sport supermoto bike also available in two displacements.

The 2013 model featured the same standard features as the previous model, such as wire-spoke wheels with black rims and off-road tires, an engine plate, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, a single two-tone seat, a small headlight, and a high-mounted front fender.

For suspension, the bike packed a 45 mm upside-down adjustable telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock on the rear, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling capabilities.

The bike's wheels were fitted with a 270 mm brake disc on the front and a 240 mm unit on the rear. The front disc was engaged by a four-piston caliper, while the rear disc was squeezed by a two-piston caliper.

As for the power figures, the 2013 Aprilia RXV 550 had its muscles from a 549cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine mounted underneath the fuel tank, boasting 70 hp at 13,000 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 10,900 rpm.
