The Aprilia RSV4 is a super sport bike made by Aprilia in 2009 as a replacement model for the RSV 1000 R. It was manufactured until the present (2023). The bike was offered in two versions, the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R limited edition, made in only 350 units.

In 2010, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia RSV4 R, a cheaper version of the RSV4 Factory, with different suspensions, aluminum elements instead of the Factory's magnesium, and a non-adjustable chassis for the swingarm pivot point.

Compared to the Factory model, the R version didn't feature adjustable inlet ducts, adjustable frame, or carbon fiber bodywork. It packed a Showa fork on the front, a Sachs monoshock, aluminum cases, and cast aluminum wheels instead of magnesium.

The front wheel was guided by a 43 mm adjustable Showa fork with 120 mm wheel travel, while the rear wheel was held in place by a double-sided aluminum swingarm tied to an adjustable Sachs monoshock with 130 mm of travel.

In the performance department, the 2010 Aprilia RSV4 R had its heartbeat set by a 999cc four-stroke V-4 liquid-cooled engine mounted underneath its fuel tank, boasting 180 hp with a peak force at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.

The bike's power was handled by a six-speed cassette-type transmission with a multi-disc oil-bath clutch with a mechanical slipper system and sent to the rear wheel via a final chain drive.
