APRILIA RSV 1000 R Factory Pista (2007-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2007, at the Bologna Motor Show, the Italian maker Aprilia announced the introduction of three new models developed for track day enthusiasts but also for competitive use. The competitive bikes owned by Aprilia have over 200 race wins to their name.

In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory Pista, a sports motorcycle without lights, horns, and turn signals but with an unrestricted exhaust system, lightweight fairings, and special racing color schemes.

The 2007 Aprilia Factory Pista was fitted with a 102 dB Aprilia Racing Team Titanium exhaust system, capable of delivering 10 hp more in the mid-range and four extra more at maximum engine speeds. The eight kg reduction was the benefit of using lightweight materials and race-derived parts.

As for power, the 2007 Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory Pista had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 157 hp with a peak force at 10,000 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.

As for the braking power, the bike packed two 320 mm brake discs married to four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm brake disc tied to a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel, providing excellent stopping performance.

The front wheel was guided by a 43 mm inverted adjustable Ohlins fork, while the rear end was controlled by an adjustable Ohlins shock absorber, offering excellent suspension performance and handling.
