In 2007, the Italian bike maker launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory, a sports machine that debuted in 2004 as a replacement model for the Aprilia RSV Mille made from 1998 to 2003 and continued production until 2010 when it was replaced by the Aprilia RSV4.

The Aprilia RSV 1000 R was the standard model, while the maker offered two other versions, like the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory, the higher-spec version of the range, and the limited edition RSV 1000 R Nera.

In the aesthetic department, the bike featured an aggressive style with standard features, such as a full fairing with dual headlights and a medium-sized windscreen, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with an up-swept silencer on each side, a ten-spoke rear wheel, and a 12-spoke front wheel.

The bike's suspension system comprised a fully adjustable Ohlins fork on the front, a fully adjustable monoshock on the rear, and an adjustable Ohlins damper as standard. It also came with forged aluminum wheels, a rider seat with non-slip racing upholstery, a matte black-finished frame, and several carbon fiber body components.

As for the power figures, the 2007 Aprilia RSM 1000 R Factory had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 139 hp with a peak force at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
