APRILIA RSV 1000 R (2004-2005) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RSV 1000 R was a sports motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia in 2004 as a replacement model for the 1998-2003 Aprilia RSV Mille. It was produced until 2010, when it was replaced by the Aprilia RV4. Compared to its predecessor, the new bike was restyled and got a new name.

The 2004 Aprilia RSV 1000 R was offered in three versions. The standard model was named RSV 1000 R, the higher-specification RSV 1000 R Factory, and the special edition model was named Aprilia RSV 1000 R Nera.

The RSV 1000 R Factory had fully adjustable race-grade Ohlins suspensions, an adjustable Ohlins steering damper, a black or gold-finished frame, carbon fiber elements, and blue anodized forged aluminum wheels.

The limited edition RSV 1000 R Nera was made in 200 units and was equipped with carbon fiber body panels, a full titanium exhaust system, magnesium wheels, and titanium nuts, bolts, and fasteners, dropping the bike's weight to 175 kg (386 lbs).

In 2004, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R, the standard version of the range. It featured a more aggressive design with restyled bodywork and a new name.

As for the power figures, the 2004 Aprilia RSV 1000 R had installed a 998cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine underneath its fairing, delivering an output power of 139 hp at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
