APRILIA Classic 125 (2002-2003) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 1999, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia Classic 125, a classic American-styled cruiser in its eight-year production period. The bike addressed the nostalgia among Aprilia's fans with its cruiser look and up-to-date technologies.

The 1999 machine came with the same package as previous models, featuring the exact visual, technical, and performance specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.

Like previous machines, the 1999 model packed standard features such as a round headlight upfront, a 33-degree raked front fork, a dual seat, an engine cover, dual side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear, a single exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels.

The bike was presented at the 1991 EICMA Show and debuted in 1992. Compared to the Red Rose model part of the first series, the Classic 125 had a lower and more modern package and a very low tapered-style exhaust system, just like the ones on Harley-Davidson models.

In the suspension department, the bike packed a 33-degree rake telescopic fork on the front that offered 120 mm wheel travel and two hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear with 70 mm of travel.

Also, like previous machines, the 1999 Aprilia Classic 125 had its heartbeat set by a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 15 hp with maximum strength at 6,600 rpm and 14 Nm (10 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
