APRILIA Atlantic 200 (2004-2005) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Atlantic was a mid-to-high-end low-wheel scooter made by Aprilia in late 2001 and produced until 2014. Some similar models from other manufacturers included the Yamaha XMAX, Suzuki Burgman, Piaggio X9, and Piaggio X10.

In 2004, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia Atlantic 200, a scooter that debuted in 2002 alongside the Aprilia Atlantic 125. It was in its last production year and packed the same specifications as previous models without significant modifications.

Compared to the Altlantic 500 model, the Atlantic 200 had several visual differences, like the design of the front and rear lights, 13-inch wheels, and a single brake disc on the front and one at the rear. In addition, it was smaller in size and cheaper.

As for its visual department, the scooter had standard features, such as a dual headlight system, a large windscreen for better protection against elements, a one-piece dual seat, a luggage rack, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

It was built around a steel frame with a 35 mm telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock on the rear, offering optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for power, the 2004 Aprilia Atlantic 200 was set in motion by a 198cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine fed by a Keihin carburetor, delivering an output power of 13 hp at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) torque at 7,250 rpm.
