The Cybertruck's infotainment user interface has fascinated Tesla fans ever since the first prototypes have been caught testing on public roads. With so many videos floating around after Delivery Day, one Tesla enthusiast decided to create a virtual model for the Cybertruck's user interface that anyone can play with.
Tesla delivered the first 10 Cybertrucks to their lucky owners and finally released the pickup's specifications. Far from impressing everyone, the Cybertruck technical data left something to be desired. The most disappointing thing was that Tesla could not build a 500-mile Cybertruck. It did offer a piggyback battery marketed as a range extender, but that takes up precious bed space and still falls short of the 500 miles promised.

Let's be fair, though, what Tesla Cybertruck offers is not inferior to other electric pickup trucks that are available to buy now. Sure, GM and Stellantis promised a higher range for the Chevy Silverado EV and Ram 1500 REV, but neither of these trucks is selling yet, and it's unclear whether they will ship with 500 miles of range. After all, Tesla also cut back on Cybertruck's specifications from prototyping to production.

One thing that did make an impression was the unique user interface Tesla designed for the Cybertruck. Some considered it a skin with specific details added, but it's more than that. The first image of the infotainment screen was snapped in July when Franz von Holzhausen arrived at the Petersen Museum in a Cybertruck. However, it wasn't until October that we saw a more in-depth video of the Cybertruck user interface.

Another leak in November revealed the navigation menu and, most importantly, offered the first estimations of the Cybertruck's disappointing range. During the Delivery Day presentation, the truck's official data validated the numbers in the leaked video. At about the same time, a leaked picture from an official photo shoot gave us a peek at the Cybertruck's control center.

Although Tesla failed to show all the Cybertruck features to the world during the botched Delivery Day event, the influencers who got access to the truck filled the void. That's how many Cybertruck secrets were exposed, including the CyberUI, its unique user interface. This is how we learned about the Cybertruck's drive modes and its off-road features.

Things start with five basic options - Comfort, Standard, Beast, Custom and Off-road. The Beast entry includes a Launch Mode feature that will please drag enthusiasts. The Off-road mode is more intriguing, as it expands with options for Overland and Baja modes and terrain selections for Sand, Gravel, Rock, and Auto.

The good news is that anyone wanting to play with the Cybertruck user interface can do it now online, thanks to the hard work of Tesla enthusiast Andrew Goodlad. He took all the videos of the CyberUI he could find and modeled the infotainment menus in Figma. This app is used by developers for interface design, so it's very good at replicating Cybertruck's user interface.

The virtual version of the CyberUI is still a work in progress, with new features added when they become available. Not all menus are clickable, as Andrew lacked the video source to know what to model. Still, it gets the basics right and offers many visual clues to those who want a first-hand experience with Cybertruck's user interface.
