These Are the Coolest Official Cybertruck Accessories Available in the Tesla Shop

Immediately after Tesla announced the Cybertruck in 2019, social media channels were flooded with renderings of Cybertruck-inspired accessories. From campers that disappear into the truck's vault to various mods and accessories, the Cybertruck halo created a whole universe dedicated to expanding the pickup truck's functions.

Still, nothing is as good as the official accessories designed and sold by Tesla. During the 2022 Investor Day, we learned that Tesla has an in-house team developing the Cybertruck accessory ecosystem. In May, during the groundbreaking ceremony of Tesla's lithium refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas, the EV maker gave us a taste of what would come. Back then, Elon Musk arrived in a Cybertruck fitted with a custom-made rack supporting two shovels. Tesla Vice President Drew Baglino, who was present at the ceremony, confirmed the EV maker was working on several Cybertruck accessories.

Now, after the Cybertruck is finally shipping to customers, Tesla has launched its official line of accessories, covering all the bases. The Basecamp tent is arguably the most important accessory, at least judging by the $2,975 price. It features a lightweight, pneumatic design and can be inflated using a manual pump in minutes. Too bad that the Cybertruck doesn't feature an air compressor like the Rivian R1T. The good part is that the tent is mounted above the truck's bed but below the tonneau cover, conserving bed storage space.

Tesla lists the Cybertruck tailgate ramp among the featured products, which means it's proud of it. Critics reminded that Tesla claimed the Cybertruck would have a telescopic ramp integrated into the tailgate. This is merely a tri-fold ladder that thankfully folds small enough to fit the Gear Locker under the bed's floor. At $400, this is quite boldly priced for what it offers. Still, it's a bargain compared to the $800 crossbars supporting up to 200 lbs. (91 kg) of cargo (available from next year).

The Cybertruck doesn't come with a spare wheel, and it doesn't even have a dedicated compartment for one. Still, Tesla recommends purchasing a spare wheel for a cool $1,250, including the tool kit to store and install the tire in an emergency. If you need to inflate it, tough luck. The Cybertruck doesn't have an air compressor, as mentioned above. But you can buy a portable one from Tesla for $550. It also comes with a tire repair kit, so you'll be OK.

Another accessory that people appreciated when the Baja Cybertrucks made the rounds earlier this year was the light bar. Tesla claims on the Cybertruck landing page that the lightbar can illuminate up to 525 yards, which is more than five football fields. However, since the light bar is not available in the Tesla Shop, we have no idea how much it costs. Another accessory that was rumored before but was not officially announced is the solar cover, which can allegedly extend the truck's range.
