We entered the third quarter, and Tesla fans expect to see the Cybertruck rolling off the production line at Giga Texas, as Elon Musk promised. A recent sighting in Fremont shows that the Cybertruck finally got its rear light bar that fans were concerned about. In a lucky move, a Tesla fan also recorded the first images of the truck's user interface.
As the production start gets closer, Tesla fans are relieved to see the Cybertruck getting the previously missing features that Tesla promised when it announced the truck in 2019. After a long line of prototypes with what appeared to be a fixed rear axle, we've finally seen the first Cybertruck showing off the rear-wheel steering during Tesla Investor Day on March 1. Tesla even improved it over time, and we saw a Cybertruck at the Petersen Museum with unusually-high angled rear wheels.

Since then, people have enjoyed discovering many Cybertruck goodies, from the tonneau cover and power tailgate to the ventilated seats. One detail was missing, though, and that saddened many Tesla fans. None of the recent prototypes or pre-production vehicles had the rear light bar seen on the earlier Cybertrucks. Elon Musk promised that the production vehicle would get it. Still, even Franz von Holzhausen's truck at the Petersen Museum lacked the light bar. Considering that it looked production-ready, the finding disappointed many fans.

Fret not, the Cybertruck will have a light bar, as Musk Promised. On Monday, another truck was spotted in Fremont, and the light bar was clearly visible. The Tesla Cybertruck was waiting at a traffic light in front of a Tesla Model Y, offering the perfect opportunity for a size comparison. It's obviously bigger in all directions, despite the proportions being somehow deceiving.

Even more interesting than the light bar is the infotainment user interface, which appears briefly in a video shot at the Petersen Museum. The interface differs from the one in other Tesla vehicles, with a speedometer font that many consider perfect for the Cybertruck's personality. This is most certainly not a production software version, as you can clearly see the words "factory mode" written in red on the screen. The dark theme is also striking, adding charm to an already overhyped Tesla.

In the meantime, production preparations are in full swing at Giga Texas. A flyover video caught a Tesla Cybertruck frame loaded on a semi-trailer before being hauled to an unknown location. Speculations suggest that this was headed to the Tesla Fremont factory, where it will be used for another Cybertruck prototype. Or, it could be analyzed at a different location as Tesla tests and calibrates the production line. In the former case, we could expect the first Cybertrucks delivered to customers to be almost hand-made prototypes, similar to Tesla Semi delivered to PepsiCo.
