Winnebago Unleashes $215,000 Boldt Camper Van to Make All Others Feel Obsolete

Folks, what you see in the cover photo is none other than the Boldt camper van from Winnebago. Yes, that Winnebago we’ve been seeing in movies since, well, forever. Fine, not forever, but since the late 50s. It even seems that whenever you think of mobile homes and campers or trailers, this brand is one of the first to come to mind, and with good reason.

Here, if somehow, you’ve been living under a rock most of your life, and don’t know who this team is, take this camper van as the absolute perfect example of what they usually unleash upon the world. Why? Because it’s the absolute most decked out and expensive of their van lineup. How expensive? How about a starting price of $215,092?

Don’t freak out; every single penny is absolutely justified. Take just the base vehicle as a clear example of what you’re acquiring. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 188-hp 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with a 7G-Tronic automatic transmission is what provides motivation to this thing.

What we find inside of a camper van like this one is always of interest. Take the kitchen, for instance. What I enjoy most about this area is that everything needed is neatly packed into a single block unit that occupies the absolute minimum space possible, giving you the liberty to do a bit of Yoga if you wanted to. A microwave/convection oven, stainless-steel sink, and fridge/freezer are all within arm’s reach.

Another important aspect needed for living on the road is a bathroom. It took me a while to figure out exactly where the restroom is, but I realized that no better place exists once I did. The rear (depending on the chosen floorplan) of this Winnebago has absolutely everything you need in order for you to reach that wilderness-driven nirvana you so desperately seek. Oh, and don’t forget to clean up all that karma with a full standing shower and stainless-steel sink. There’s even a towel bar, powered roof vent, mirror, a possible folding clothes bar, and wait for it, a tissue holder. Beats me.

The bedroom too seems to be quite spacious and even runs a bit into the dining room as to include part of the seating. Mainly, the bedding is maintained as two separate twins to allow for movement throughout the interior. But come nighttime, this space shape-shifts into a single bed, allowing for some moon-play.

If you think that’s all there is to it, wrong. There's system over system over system, meant to handle electrical, heating, cooling, plumbing, cooling, and waste. And if that’s not enough, some of these systems have been modernized to the level where you can track data on an app. Yeah, imagine going to the restroom and having an app that warns you about your water level when showering.
