The end of 2023 came with a lot of sad news for car enthusiasts. Chevrolet pulled the plug on the sixth-gen Camaro with no direct successor in sight for the foreseeable future, and Dodge dropped the aging Challenger and Charger duo.
Nevertheless, all three models are still very capable of standing neck and neck with some of the fastest ICE-powered machines out there, especially if we’re talking about the multiple Hellcat versions when it comes to the Challenger and Charger and the Camaro ZL1.

Case in point, meet one bad-to-the-bone Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, which was recently filmed doing its straight-line thing at the Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. The white muscle car still had the window sticker on it, so it was presumably a brand-new copy.

Making out the exact model is very tricky, yet in the top form, you're looking at 807 horsepower (819 ps/602 kW) produced by the supercharged 6.2L V8 and channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SRT Super Stock trumps the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak, SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak, SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak, and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, with the Redeye models enjoying 797 hp (808 ps/595 kW) and the normal Hellcats having 707 hp (717 ps/527 kW) on tap.

From naught to sixty miles an hour (0 to 97 kph), Dodge's Hellcat series needs around three seconds, and with a skilled driver holding the wheel and a perfect takeoff, they're ten-second cars down the quarter mile. But do you know what else offers similar performance? The C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. And it was this model that served as a challenger (pun intended) to the white Dodge Hellcat mentioned above. The bowtie brand's blue-collar supercar lined up at the start line next to it, eager to prove its worth.

Boasting 495 horsepower (502 ps/369 kW) with the performance exhaust system and five hp less without it, the C8 Corvette Stingray takes a mind-boggling 2.9 seconds to 60 mph and has a 194 mph (312 kph) maximum speed. Hooked up to an eight-speed DCT and RWD, the 6.2L V8 engine enables the standing quarter mile in 11.2 seconds, according to the official spec sheet, so it is a force to be reckoned with, capable of trying its luck against the punchier Hellcat models.

But can it really pose a threat to this white copy in a straight-line sprint down the 1/4-mile? That's for you to find out by scrolling down and watching the video, which is less than a minute long. The clip also shows another battle between a Hellcat version of the Dodge Charger and an Audi RS 7, which also had a clear winner. That said, this is the part where we invite you to hit play and find out which one was faster.
