Vanilla Ice and the man who sold him the Lamborghini that previously belonged to 50 Cent, tell the story of the purchase. The second owner of the Lambo, Fred Fishback, had no idea who the rapper was, though. 50 Cent forgot something in the car he sold.
Fred bought a blue Lamborghini Murcielago, which used to belong to 50 Cent. "All the wheels were scratched up," Robert Matthew Van Winkle, aka Vanilla Ice, says. The second owner of the Lambo says it all has to do with driving it in New York City. The dealer who sold it to him explained that it came with the celebrity factor: "It belonged to a famous rapper."

Fred Fishback replied: "The only rapper I know is Vanilla Ice." Well, Vanilla Ice made his debut with “Ice Ice Baby” back in 1990, when Fred was in his heyday. He really wanted the car, regardless of its background, so he bought it. Since then, he has done some research on 50 Cent and even brought his book, the New York Times bestseller From Pieces to Weight.

Curtis James Jackson III, famously known as 50 Cent, bought the Lambo as a reward after he recorded his "Get Rich or Die Trying" album. It was a time when the rapper painted all his cars, a Rolls-Royce Ghost included, in what he called "50 Blue." The Italian automaker was not offering it in such a shade.

50 Cent had forgotten something in the car. Fred found a quarter and was sure he’d find another one in there because, hey, it was 50 Cent’s car that he was dealing with. Instead, he found a glove.

When Fred took the car to a Lamborghini dealersh ip to take a look and see if there was anything that needed to be fixed, everyone went bananas. They see Lamborghinis every day, but it is not every day that they see 50 Cent’s Lamborghini.

Fred fitted a rear wing to the car for some downforce. That surely isn't for driving in New York. A Kreissieg exhaust also showed up on the car for some extra drama.

However, the Murcielago is slowly turning into a classic. Lamborghini unveiled the Coupe in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo and came up with the Roadster in 2003. And this is what 50 Cent used to drive.

It came with a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which pumped out 572 horsepower (580 metric horsepower) and 479 pound-feet (479 Newton meters) of torque. It did 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 207 mph (333 kph).

Vanilla Ice is definitely a car guy. He owns a Ferrari F8 Spider painted in Avorio (Ivory) and has been the owner of a "good old Mustang," the one he calls his "baby," since the early 1990s, that he restored once and is going to restore once again. Now, he also has a Lamborghini Murcielago which formerly belonged to 50 Cent.
