Vanilla Ice was caught driving his Ferrari on a sunny day in Florida. Actually, "caught" is not the most appropriate word for the situation, as the video of him and his supercar was uploaded to his own YouTube channel.
Robert Matthew Van Winkle is probably a name that doesn't ring a bell. But most likely, you grew up singing along with him when his "Ice Ice Baby" hit played on the radio. And it played so often! Back in the 1990s, it was the first hip hop single to top the Billboard charts.

The song he wrote when he was 16, after a weekend spent with his friends, became his trademark. Never after that moment did he manage to generate a hype as big as that one or launch a song as popular as that one, despite his attempts with "Play That Funky Music" or "Hooked."

The artist took a break from music in 1993, started competing in jet skiing and motocross racing, and simply disappearing from the spotlight.

However, Rob seems to be doing well. He has recently been out and about with his Ferrari F8 Spider painted in Avorio, which is Italian for Ivory, very much resembling the color of vanilla. What a cliche that is…

He does not know the exact mileage of his Ferrari but thinks the odometer should show around 500 miles (805 kilometers). "I don't drive it ever," he says, but calls it "sexy."

To spec his Ferrari, Rob had an appointment with the team in Maranello, Italy, at the Ferrari factory and was totally impressed. He wasn't allowed to take his phone out, had tape glued to his camera, and the Italians threatened to throw him out if he filmed anything.

He was surprised to see real-life ducks, a lake, and trees in the room where they built engines, an eco-system that would provide oxygen to the space. "I got to eat where Schumacher eats; he's my hero," Rob said. The last time Michael Schumacher ate at Maranello was in 2009 when he interrupted any connection with La Scuderia following his failed comeback to replace Felipe Massa, who was injured at the time.

Even though he's out on a drive with his Ferrari, the Vanilla Ice star says that his number one favorite is still his Ford Mustang. "Nothing out there compares to the 5.0 baby."

His 5.0 baby is actually a 4.9 that Ford calls 5.0 just because it sounds so much better. It is a third-generation, white-painted, Fox-body convertible Ford Mustang that he has owned since the 1990s. The car has recently gone through a complete restoration, which lasted for four whole years.

In 2021, when the restoration was completed, Vanilla Ice posted a photo of him and the car taken in 1990, just before "Ice Ice Baby" hit the charts.
