Chevy's Camaro is on the chopping block. The bowtie brand has announced that it will die in 2024, but the moniker will eventually return to the automotive world.
From here on, it's pure speculation, as while some believe a new generation is coming with internal combustion engines, others say it will be fully or at least partially electrified. There are rumors surrounding a possible Camaro sub-brand, which might give birth to additional body styles, and a crossover could be one of them.

However, while GM does not appear to have made up its mind when it comes to this model's future, there are still some great examples out there that deserve their 15 minutes of fame, like the blue copy pictured above. Part of the fifth generation, it came to life 13 years ago and was built for the 2010 SEMA Show. Well, build may be too big a word, as modified sounds better.

From the muscular body kit, which we're certainly fans of, to the SS-branded wheels with a five-spoke design wrapped in brand new Nitto tires measuring 265/35R22 at the front and 295/35R22 at the rear and a few other goodies, it is one interesting proposal. The muscle car has a black interior that mixes leather and Alcantara, several metallic accents and looks very good all over.

The reason is the low mileage and the fact that it was properly maintained over the years. With 10,830 miles (17,430 km) displayed on the odometer at the time of cataloging, the V8 hasn't seen much action since 2010. And we're talking about additional modifications here, as you're looking at a 6.2-liter supercharged engine that produces 720 hp. The output is channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, so the excitement factor is on deck.

To those keeping track, the 2010 Camaro SS had a 6.2L V8 that made 426 hp in the three-pedal configuration. The automatic version was different, and it was less punchy at 400 hp. We don't know how fast this one is to sixty miles per hour (97 kph), but the acceleration likely takes just under three seconds. As a result, it is capable of throwing a punch at Dodge's Hellcat versions of the Challenger and the Ford Shelby GT500 based on the S550 generation.

Advertised by Garage Kept Motors, this Camaro doesn't cost an arm and a leg, as the ad reveals a down-to-earth asking price of $44,900. That could get you a brand-new Camaro 1SS in today's market, and for the range-topping ZL1 version, you will have to fork out at least $73,695 before destination and options. So, have you found your next muscly ride, or are you still searching the World Wide Web for it?
