Celebrities love expensive cars, and their love is probably surpassed only by their desire to show them off. In an industry where worth is proportional to material possessions, the more luxury items you show off, the better you are.
If that's the case, R&B singer Ray J ranks very high. He's a very passionate car guy with a soft spot for Mercedes-Maybachs and Rolls-Royces, and he's not opposed to showing off his fleet whichever chance he gets. Not that we're blaming him: anyone else in his place would probably want to do the same.

Today, Ray J's fleet is two cars lighter after a pair of Maybach SUVs went missing. If this report in a famous celebrity e-zine is accurate, they simply disappeared into thin air, never making it to their destination and with no explanation offered.

Ray J had business appointments and appearances in New York starting March 18, so he arranged for two of his Maybach SUVs to be moved from Reno, Nevada, to NYC by enclosed carrier. They should have arrived there at the same time as he did, but they failed to do so.

According to the report, the singer contacted the movers to get an update but was met with vague answers and no concrete details telling him where his cars were. Perhaps strangely of all, the trackers on the enclosed carriers that should have delivered the cars show that they're still in Reno, never having left for their booked destination.

Ray J has alerted the police about the disappearance of the cars and is now waiting to hear back from them. The official status of the vehicles hasn't been updated to stolen just yet.

Ray J owns a bunch of other expensive rides, but that's unlikely to make the pain of the missing pair of Maybachs more bearable. Nothing could, considering one such vehicle comes with a $200,000+ price tag.

In the past, Ray J has been seen driving a silver Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Mustang GT, a Lincoln Navigator, and a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class he called the "Raybach" and used to Uber stranded rappers that couldn't afford one but still wanted to look rich to the outside world. No word yet if the Raybach was one of the two missing Maybachs. In fact, Ray J is yet to address the supposed disappearance in any way.

Like former girlfriend Kim Kardashian found out in 2016 in Paris, showing off on social media and posting exact locations online in real time turns you into a magnet and a very easy target for thieves. We're not saying that this is what happened to Ray J, but if it was, it wouldn't be the first time that a celebrity has a car stolen after posting about it online.
