Earlier today, we talked about what is probably the first Dodge Demon to receive a nitrous setup, mentioning the battle between HEMI tuners. To be more precise, multiple aftermarket specialists are working to give the Mopar machine a serious boost. Well, here we are, showing you another uber-Challenger that has has received such treatment.
The Demon we have here has been taken to the gym by Tim Barth (more on this below), with the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 under the hood seeing its output exploding.
To be more precise, the machine was recently strapped to a dyno, managing to climb all the way to 1,169 hp and 1,219 lb-ft at the rear wheels. And if we use the good old 15 percent drivetrain loss (after all, this is a rear-wheel-drive automatic machine), we conclude that the machine delivers north of 1,300 ponies.
Of course, all the muscle building has the aim of delivering extra drag strip might. And since multiple Challenger Demons are currently engaged in the fight for the 8s quarter-mile run, the toy we have here might just be the first to hit the said mark.
We constantly keep an eye out for drag strip adventures of the sort and we'll bring you new results of efforts like the one we have here as soon as we get our keyboards on them.
For the record (no pun intended), Tim Barth is a well-known HEMI tuner located in Illinois. The man's name also enjoyed a bit of non-racing world wide web fame recently. That's because a Dodge Charger Hellcat massaged by the specialist did its family duties all too well, entertaining a little boy whose reaction was caught on camera and went viral - here's the tale, in case you missed it. As always, we have to remind you to hit the drag strip when the sprintng urges kick in and avoid street hooning.
