Do you have a soft spot for classic American cars and are perhaps thinking of spicing up your life with one? How about a Chevrolet Impala from the golden days of motoring that was made when man had yet to walk on the moon?
Built in 1964, this third-generation vehicle wasn't found carefully tucked away beneath a cover somewhere in a barn, as it has seen some action these past few decades. As it started to lose its appeal, it was eventually subjected to a complete restoration process, during which every part was given a new lease on life. Pumping new blood into it is the reason behind the great overall appearance of this old-timer.

As you can see in the images above, this Chevy Impala has a white finish with a matching roof, sports chrome bumpers at both ends and other shiny trim all around. It comes with five-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires and a very clean underbody. We don't see anything that needs to be mended soon, so it is ready to hit the road on a quiet, warm Sunday morning before being polished and stored away in a garage.

With light blue leather wrapped around the seats and door cards, the interior looks very lively. The upholstery doesn't reveal any wear and tear, and the only thing that will annoy purists is the added audio system, as one of its owners was probably more into listening to their favorite tunes than hearing that V8 rumble under the hood.

The 327-cubic-inch motor was offered in two outputs. The most humble variant developed 250 horsepower back when the car left the assembly line, and the higher-spec came with 300 horsepower. The 5.4-liter V8 is mated to an automatic transmission in the pictured Impala, which is said to have done almost 32,500 miles (~52,300 km) since it was fully restored. This means it should have enough life left in it for years to come, assuming nothing goes wrong. Hey, this is still a classic, and we all know they're not that reliable, right?

Want to know how you can make it yours? Well, visiting the garagekeptmotors listing here is mandatory for anyone looking to sign their name on the dotted line. The ad reveals that pre-purchase inspections are always welcomed, though you'll have to make an appointment if you want to see it in person. If you want to do that, a trusty mechanic should accompany you. We still haven't told you how much it costs, and as you can assume, it doesn't break the bank, but it's not a bargain either. It has an asking price of $39,900 and a great desire to hit the road again. Will you be the person to help it do that?
