Step inside this ultra-stylish tiny home with one of the most beautiful dining setups, a perfect loft bedroom, and incredible storage. The Tiny One home on wheels by Cocoon Tiny Homes deserves an iconic status, and it's proof that living in a house on wheels doesn't need to equal compromise.
If you have ever found that tiny homes can feel dark and dreary, you should feast your eyes on this lovely model that's simply filled with color and light. And, although the Tiny One is certainly a looker, there's no compromise when it comes to comfortable, year-round living. Don't be fooled by its simple name – this Kiwi tiny hides pleasant surprises at every corner, with a focus on functionality and making life inside a small dwelling much easier.

The Tiny One isn't that tiny to begin with. It's eight meters long (26 feet), three meters wide (9.8 feet), and a little under four meters high (12 feet). Still, compared to the medium-sized and large models from the same New Zealand-based builder, it's a more compact option, which makes it better for those who are starting out on their mobile living journey or for those looking for a more affordable housing alternative.

On paper, this Kiwi home boasts the classic configuration with one loft bedroom and an open-plan main floor with a kitchen, a lounge area, and a separate bathroom. But as soon as you walk in, you'll realize that the Tiny One is in a league of its own. When you pass through the generous glass doors, you're greeted by a lovely dining area near the lounge. That's the first unusual feature that catches the eye. Second, you'll surely admire the expertly crafted staircase in white and yellow, which looks more like a work of art.

The dining setup includes a simple but convenient table that folds so that it can become larger or smaller, depending on the number of guests, plus matching chairs. What makes it unusual is the placement so close to the main entrance. That's because it acts almost as an extension of the kitchen countertop, although it's entirely separate. It's a clever way of using every inch of available space. It's also great for turning the entire dining/lounging part of the house into an indoor/outdoor space in the summertime.

Instead of facing the door, the comfy sofa in the lounge is discretely placed under a window. This way, it can take up almost the entire wall without getting in the way. This high-ceiling end lounge feels luxuriously roomy, with an unobstructed line of sight all the way up to the other end of the house and a connection to the outdoors. Plus, it gets an abundance of natural light from not just one but two windows on the end wall.

It also leaves room for a couple of cabinets and shelves. Storage solutions abound inside this home, and they're adapted to each particular section. In this case, the double narrow cabinets on each side take full advantage of the extra height.

Another element that helps blur the line between the inside and the outside is the wide-opening window above the countertop, a popular feature in most Australian and Kiwi tiny homes. As you can tell, you'd be surrounded by gorgeous views in any part of this dining/lounging section.

There's no need for too many overhead cupboards either because the kitchen was designed with huge storage placed opposite the countertop. The custom-made cabinetry includes an extra-large pantry and space for a full-size fridge. Multiple cabinets and drawers provide hidden storage for a pristine, uncluttered look, and there's even a dedicated spot for the coffee machine.

Delicate LED lights will guide you up the stairs and to the walking loft platform. This bedroom is far from the uncomfortable versions you'll find in some tiny houses. The full head height makes it feel instantly comfortable. Plus, it's big enough for a king-sized bed. It's beautifully styled and furnished, which is why it resembles an exotic resort suite.

The protection wall doubles as a generous storage solution without taking up any extra space. The large windows on each side are the final touch – this loft bedroom is just as luminous and airy as the rest of the house.

The bathroom is another unexpected luxurious feature inside the Tiny One. In addition to the full-size shower cabin and large vanity, it comes with a custom-made laundry section that's quite impressive for a house on wheels. It includes a laundry tower with a dedicated compartment for the washing machine, multiple drawers, and even a dedicated nook for the broom.

The best part is that the owners can enjoy all of this without having to sacrifice any of the space for the basic appliances (customers can choose the type of toilet).

The Tiny One's colorful style is one of its greatest assets as well. While it leans on the contemporary minimalistic side, those vibrant splashes of yellow give it a unique, joyful vibe that goes great with the home's openness to the outside world. Perfectly equipped for long-term living and more than comfortable for a couple, this loft-bedroom tiny house embodies the Kiwi spirit and its love of nature and freedom.

The full-build version of this popular Cocoon tiny home starts at NZD 189,000 ($118,000), and it can be extensively customized, including through the addition of a rooftop balcony that would expand its embrace of the outdoors even further.
