If you think that this is just one more regular Tesla coming into the world, well… guess again. It's got flamethrowers, it's quicker than any Lamborghini (almost!), and it's called a Tesla Time Machine as if it has come back from the future to confuse the ICE die-hards.
Meet the TMC-12x, a sort of a DMC-12, but with a T standing for Tesla. It is basically a Model X Plaid, converted to replicate the iconic DeLorean from Back to the Future.

Even the wheels are almost identical to those of the DeLorean. The model is fitted with flux pans visible on both sides, leading to the rear, where the energy reactor sits up on the tailgate. Of course, you need that to travel through time, just as much as you need the flamethrowers that leave traces on the tarmac. It all happens when you push the relevantly dubbed "Flamethrower" button.

If you thought that can only be replicated with special effects in the movies, guess again. This Tesla has them mounted under the rear bumper. Heat shields protect the plastic components that would otherwise melt in the process.

There is so much tubing and piping back there as if Doc himself did the entire setup. The rear window was removed and all the new components have been welded in its place. They also replaced the taillights to make them resemble those of the DMC-12 from the movie.

A shop in Tampa, Florida, did the Tesla. It took them six months to have it ready. It may look like a mockup car, but… guess again! It can run from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, which makes it quicker than any Lamborghini out there, except for the Revuelto plug-in hybrid, which is just as quick.

The DeLorean DMC's rear license plate said "OUTATIME." The Tesla, though, went for "OUTAGA5," which would actually be "out of gas." Of course it is! It's electric. However, it does make the sound of an ICE-powered car.

And that's not any ICE, but a V12. There is no V12 involved, it’s just the sound system mounted underneath the Model X Plaid. The crossover gets to keep the car gullwing doors from the factory, matching those of the DeLorean DMC-12.

The Tampa-based shop installed the capacitor behind the rear seats, which makes all the magic happen and allows time travel.

A lot of buttons and switches and gauges showed up on board the buttonless Tesla, while a panel mounted in the center console shows the destination time, while another display shows "88 mph," the speed that allowed time traveling. Nowadays, the Tesla Model S Plaid rolls off the production line with 1,006 horsepower (1,020 metric horsepower) and 752 pound-feet (1,020 Newton meters) of torque in an all-wheel drive setup. The EV can hit a top speed of 162 mph (260 kph).

On the left side, right next to the A-pillar, is the flamethrower. However, we should all keep our fingers away from the Eject button because we can only guess what happens if we press it.

This is not the first time-traveling Tesla

This Model X Plaid that went time-traveling. The owner of a Tesla Cybertruck converted his vehicle into a version of the DeLorean DMC-12. But that time, all they did was wrap the Cybertruck in a custom venial that mimicked the looks of the DMC from Back to the Future. They did not cut into the pickup truck at all.

However, the only thing missing from OCDetailing's creation was the gullwing doors. However, Elon Musk should consider them. Despite coming into the world at totally different moments of the automotive history, being set apart by four whole decades, the two of them have a lot in common.

Both the DeLorean and the Cybertruck sport the stainless steel body. Therefore, the futuristic EV could look like the coupe's brother from another mother.
