It's not super often that we find a custom car that leaves us completely speechless. But if you happened across what appears to look like the body of a first-gen Ford Mustang, only to do a double take and think, "hmm, that looks kinda small for an old Mustang," what you'd find on further investigations might just be enough to make your jaw hit the floor. Yeah, that is indeed too small for a classic Mustang. Underneath, it isn't even a Ford product at all.
On closer inspection, we find the unmistakably drab interior straight out of a mid-2000's economy car, complete with visibly dirty tan cloth seats, a dashboard made out of plastic so thin and hollow we can hear the reverberations from here, and a rather suspect Honda decal hanging out underneath the driver's and passenger's side door. That's right, folks, somebody out of De Soto, Missouri, went through the trouble of taking a 2005 Honda Accord, liberating its interior and underpinnings from the rest of the car, and seemingly flex-molded the entire shebang to the body shell of a 1965 Mustang.

What would possibly compel someone to do something like this? It's pretty tough to say. We have it on good authority that similar builds, like the Tesla Model S Plaid-swapped Honda Odyssey built by the BoostedBoiz YouTube channel, took several months, if not more, to complete, possibly even more time fine-tuning everything so that it works properly. We can't say an old Accord with a Mustang body overtop has quite as much curb appeal. But clearly, someone very skilled in wrenching and welding put copious amounts of blood, sweat, and tears into hand, forging this custom machine into something you'll never see anywhere else.

With that out of the way, let's look at some of the things this "CivStang" brings to the table. Apart from a super clean-looking Mustang body and some wicked-looking five-spoke alloy wheels, you get the same 2.4-liter Honda K24 inline four-cylinder engine known the world over for accepting more boost pressure than the turbopumps on the average medium-lift booster rocket. The funny part about that statement is, it's only a little bit of hyperbole.

So even if there isn't a thumping great V8 under the hood, you could always boost the motor practically to the point of exploding to get the power figures you seek out of this strange chimera of a car. Underneath, this custom build's coilover suspension, four-wheel disk brakes, and five-speed automatic transmission make for an odd yet eclectic collection of automotive hardware. Add the total package together, and it's enough to make your brain hurt. But if that's the kind of custom build you're after, it can be yours for $15,000.
