The Schumacher family has been going through some very hard times since the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion's ski accident in 2013. They were forced to sell cars, properties, and various memorabilia to be able to keep up with the expenses for the rehabilitation of the F1 legend. His wife has now decided to sell the Ferrari the family received from him as a present.
It is a Ferrari F430 Spider that the German driver purchased back in 2005. The model is for sale in his residence country, Switzerland. It is a left-hand drive model in Rosso Corsa over a beige interior.

The model, which came as a successor of the Ferrari 360, is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8 shared with the Maserati family and linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles mounted on the steering wheel. It generates 483 horsepower (490 metric horsepower) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph (315 kph).

The F430 was the first to get the manettino, which is Italian for 'little lever.' The manettino dial is a selector on the steering wheel that enables the driver to switch between various driving modes, depending on the road conditions and grip. Michael Schumacher must have loved the feature because it was similar to what the Formula 1 cars offered.

The car was never used by Michael Schumacher, but it was given as a present to his family and registered in the name of his and Ralf's father, Rolf Schumacher. Delivered to him via Maranello GmbH in Cologne, Germany, the 2005 Ferrari F430 comes with Schumi's signature engraved on the glove box.

Now the Ferrari is for sale via Gallery Aaldering in Switzerland, with an asking price of 299,500 euros, the equivalent of $331,112 at the current exchange rate. It has covered just 29,301 kilometers (18,207 miles). The listing says that the car is in almost perfect condition, with only little wear visible on the driver’s seat. The electrically operated canvas top of the red convertible is also in great condition.

The price includes the original and stamped booklets in the original leather case from 2005.

Ten years have passed since Michael Schumacher sustained brain damage following a horror ski accident in Maribel, a resort in the French Alps. He was airlifted to hospital, underwent two brain surgeries, and put in an artificial coma until June 2013. Since the crash, his family has offered little to no information at all about his health condition.

All we know is that he is under surveillance by a team of doctors at his residence on the shore of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. His former boss at Ferrari, Jean Todt, who has been one of the few people who have access to the seven-time World Champion, admitted that Michael Schumacher has not been the same for the past decade.
