Tesla has started the final countdown four years after the official unveiling of the Cybertruck. The handover event is set to start in just a few hours, with ten lucky owners getting their new electric pickup trucks. Hours before the event, the vehicles were spotted at the Giga Texas.
The event kicks off at the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, at 3 PM ET/2 PM CT/12 PM PT. Ten of the over two million customers who reserved a Cybertruck will be getting it today.

A video uploaded on Twitter shows ten Cybertrucks sitting outside the factory. The one who shot the video wonders if these are the ten Cybertrucks to be handed over on November 30. And there is a big chance that they are.

Several showroom-ready units have already been delivered across the country to dealerships to be used for test drives or for being exhibited.

Another video uploaded on YouTube showed over 25 trucks getting washed and charged. Some of them sport the RC lettering, which is short for Release Candidate, prototypes that are production-ready but issues might still show up.

The Tesla Cybertrucks are not painted and just come in the shade of stainless steel, a very unusual material for the body of a car. Yet, during the development phase, no bullet seemed to penetrate the body. Several prototypes were spotted with traces of bullets on the sides.

One of vehicles in the video seems to be covered in a gold wrap. Only recently, the Head of Design, Franz von Holzhausen, was seen driving a Cybertruck in Matte Stealth Black at a Cars & Coffee event in California.

Elon Musk claimed that the model can come in any color. But the stainless steel is next to impossible to paint, so they will not be painted but wrapped according to the customers' preferences.

Three hours are left to the handover event that will take place at the Gigafactory in Texas. Most likely, the first ten prepared to be handed over will end up in the hands of Tesla employees, a move that has been made before by the carmaker.

Customers have been waiting for the Tesla Cybetruck for ages. The model was revealed on November 19, 2019, which was more than four years ago. Back then, the vehicle with extreme and angular design instantly turned popular and piled up reservations, despite the hiccups during the presentation event, when the windows of the vehicle that were supposed to be bulletproof were smashed to pieces with a baseball bat and a metal ball.

All that potential customers had to do was place a $100 deposit and then a firm order. Production was slated to begin in late 2020 and then postponed times and again. Now, some of those who placed an order will finally be able to drive their all-new Cybetruck home.

Back in November 2019, Tesla came up with a starting price of $39,900 for the single-motor version, $49,900 for the Cybetruck with a dual-motor setup, $59,900 for the tri-motor version, and $69,900 for the quad-motor version. Four years later, there is no word on the actual price of the electric pickup truck. We are to find more at the handover event today.
