Kerfton’s new off-road camper trailer is so versatile that you won’t even feel you’ve left home. It is equipped for both simple, close-to-home picnics or long-distance camping trips with the entire family.
Australian-based trailer manufacturer Kerfton recently announced its new family camper trailer, which combines versatility with convenience and ruggedness. The trailer’s expandable design makes it easy to set it up according to your needs. It can be used as a compact, picnic table with benches for meals on the go or as a fully equipped base camp. Kerfton is a self-supporting trailer equipped with a living space and a slide-and-swing dual-wing kitchen.
It is a 14-foot (4.3 m) trailer with a fiberglass-based composite construction and a stylish look that goes with any type of vehicle towing it. At the same time, the Kerfton trailer is sturdy enough to cope with any type of terrain, from smooth highways to severe off-road 4X4 terrain.
The camper trailer features an uncluttered interior living space with beds for four people. Used for bench seating it can accommodate up to six people. With it being a family camper trailer, Kerfton equipped it with a queen bed for parents and there are two other single beds for the children. There are also six cupboards, two drawers, and a cargo box.
Moving on to the kitchen layout, the camper is equipped with a slide-and-swing dual-wing kitchen that can be set up without needing to put up the entire trailer, if you don’t plan an overnight stop. Kerfton even throws in a 5-ft (1.5 m) picnic table and two benches, for quick outdoor meals.
The kitchen is continuously plumbed with hot and cold water and gas. It comes with a removable stainless-steel sink, a fold-down worktop, storage drawers, and a dual-burner stove. There’s also a fridge carrier that can accommodate fridges up to 78 liters (20.6 gallons).
There’s a 63-liter (16.6-gallon) freshwater tank included and a 120 Ah battery to power the onboard lighting, fridge, etc.
Kerfton doesn’t offer details regarding the launch of its camper trailer so we’ll have to settle for “soon”. The base price of the trailer will be $38,500.
