The problem is there are so many options to choose from that it’s quite easy to get lost in the woods. Not a problem, we’re here to guide you through it all. What you're looking at in the cover photo is none other than the Bambi trailer from Airstream. If you want to know what it is and how it works, keep reading.

Imagine it's springtime, the snow has melted, and the sun is starting to warm up the earth again. Everything is waking from its winter slumber, and asphalt calls you to it again. So you and your spouse have a chat about taking a road trip. Obviously, you need to be equipped, and since you stumbled upon this article anyway, you decide to see what’s happening on the market.

In the past, you've heard of Airstream, and so you decide this is a good place to start. Seeing as how the Bambi is one of the team's smaller, more intimate trailers, not to mention least expensive, you should take a look at the gallery.

Now, like most other trailers, this one too comes with a wide range of floorplans, each one varying in amenities, size, and comfort. However, no matter which floorplan you choose, they all sleep up to four adults. The least expensive is the 16RB, which starts at $51,400 (€42,350 at the time of writing this article). Personally, I feel that's a little much, but once we really get into the thick of things, you'll understand that it's worth every penny.

Don't let the looks fool you, it's not just an aluminum can filled with furnishings and appliances. Yes, the outside is a semi-monocoque aluminum structure, but that aluminum has been treated for UV protection, and a thermal barrier between the interior and exterior is in place.

Inside, the 16RB comes in with a width of 7.5 ft (228 cm) and an interior height of 6.3 ft (193 cm). That's enough headroom to accommodate more than just the average height of a human. The other floorplans also include the same height and width, but their length differs. And even though the larger options include the same sleeping capacity, appliances and amenities are large.

Let's take the kitchen, for example. For the 16RB, you will find a two-burner stove, a single-basin sink with a faucet, a microwave, and a fridge. The two 22FB floor plan, however, includes a double-basin sink, and a much larger fridge. Other amenities too such as the wardrobe, ducted furnace, and carrying capacity are also larger.

Another aspect that is standard for all of these floor plans is the modular dinette. Once you’re finished with dinner and everyone is ready for bed, just transform this space into another sleeping area. The other two guests are to use the bedroom. Here, you are to find a pillow top memory foam mattress with under-bed storage, and a wardrobe with a hanging bar that I mentioned earlier.

The bathroom, too, includes everything you need to make sure you stay clean and crisp. A removable shower head, toilet, sink with faucet, and roof vent are standard as well. There's also a number of additional features, some of which are standard as well, some of which are not.
