Based on the mid-grade SZ3 trim level, the special edition Suzuki Swift SZ-L is now available for order in the United Kingdom. Offered with a VAT free promotion until September 30th, the base sticker price of this quirky Japanese subcompact sits at £11,099 for the three-door and £11,599 for the five-door model.
For that kind of money, you get a front-wheel drive B-segment hatchback propelled by a normally-aspirated 1.2-liter Dual VVT engine producing 94 PS. Thanks to low emissions of just 116 grams of CO2 per kilometer, the annual VED will set you back a mere 30 quid. As for fuel economy, the manufacturer says that this model will return a frugal 56.5 mpg on the combined cycle.

Coupled to a snickety manual transmission, the U.K-only Suzuki Swift SZ-L is in insurance group 11E, making it a pretty enticing proposition for the younger enthusiastic driver in the market for his or her's first automobile. The already quirky styling of the Swift is enhanced on the SZ-L thanks to the Cool White roof and side mirrors, a subtle rear spoiler, sporty alloy wheel design and LED daytime running lights.

As for standard equipment, the special edition SZ-L gets plenty of stuff from the get-go, including air conditioning, a powerful audio system with USB slot for your favorite MP3s, Bluetooth connectivity for you smartphone, ESP and seven airbags in total. This design-led subcompact can further be enhanced with various optional bits and bobs, but potential customers are likely more interested about financing options.

U.K. dealers are offering the special edition Suzuki SZ-L with a range of flexible payment options, including a personal contract hire for the five-door model as low as £145 per month spread over a 42 month term, with an initial down payment of £1,740. A personal contract purchase option is also available for the five-door at just £149 per month over a 42 month period and with an initial deposit of £1,699.
