If we were to take a walk down memory lane and go back to the Shanghai Motor Show from April, you surely remember Suzuki’s alluring Authentics concept. In case you thought it suited your taste, know that the company might be launching it next year.
These are some great news as the long wheelbase sedan represents the product of Suzuki’s joint-venture with Changan Auto and is expected to make itself noticed among existing members of the Suzuki lineup due to its bold design.

Except for the sculpted body panels, available LED lighting on both ends and the chrome trim, not too much information is available. Even so, the sedan will probably have a four-cylinder gasoline-burning engine that will either be bolted to a CVT or an automatic gearbox. The dimensions of the concept will also be retained, meaning a 4.6-meter long vehicle is to be expected.

Furthermore, you’ll be happy to know that, although the Authentics has been especially developed for the Chinese market, it will also be distributed in Europe and Asia, but only in selected markets. So, we could say that the five-year old Kizashi sedan will slowly be replaced.

Concerning the price, the soon to be available car stands between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan and will be the first larger sedan in China built by Suzuki. By having such a status, the company hopes to improve its image as well as boost its annual sales.
