At the present moment, it's hard to think of a factory-spec vehicle with sleeper credentials as cool as the Chevrolet SS. We've driven it and it's all things to all men that want a little bit of sideways hooning at full opposite lock without the flashiness of a Ferrari.
In the world of pickup trucks, we can't think of any sleeper heroes. And no, the 2014 Ford F-150 in SVT Raptor guise is not exactly low-profile and the $44,995 starting price is slightly prohibitive considering the average wage in the United States sits at $38,800 of disposable income per year.

But if you really want a sleeper pickup truck on a budget with more power than the 411 horsepower V8 of the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, then you might be interested with what we've found in the inventory of Highline Motors South. It's a $27k 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 truck, but not quite.

When new, the truck went for $27,195. But then the owner took it to BBR for a custom conversion and turned it into a Rabid Coyote Edition for $20k. That's a $47,000-plus pickup with less than 900 miles showing on the clock. Pretty clean, huh? But what lies underneath the bonnet will get you very excited.

What the tuning company did for that amount of green dollar bills was a lot, to be frank, but the highlight element is the replacement of the original V6 engine with a Ford Coyote 5-liter V8 paired to a six-speed stick shift. Although the dealer didn't specify how much oomph this bad boy churns out, don't expect less than 420 ponies. It's a Mustang GT with a bed, for crying out loud! Don't you just love it?
