The image of engineers having their hands dirty with motor oil is long gone when it comes to modern auto industry. Nowadays it’s all about getting all fancy, smooth and cool, as fashion designers play a huge role in promoting new cars. It’s the case for SEAT that has recently unveiled the world’s first fabric car entirely made out of lace.
Celebrating the British availability of its SEAT Mii by MANGO city car, the fashion-inspired full-size replica was created over a period of three days out of lace and has jewel trim embellishment. SEAT claims this is the company’s first fashion collaboration.

The Mii by MANGO city car provides the most stylish way to travel and shop and we’re delighted to have incorporated these values into such a creative and innovative project,” declared Chris Stevens, head of marketing at SEAT UK.

It won the 2012 World Car of the Year title

According to its creators, SEAT Mii by MANGO is a special edition city car available exclusively in either beige or black, in three or five-door, with a contrasting interior including Alcantara upholstery. It boasts atom grey door mirrors, stylish 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome door strips and a spacious boot.

As a fast reminder, the SEAT Mii and Skoda Citigo are rebadged versions of the up! model made by Volkswagen, with modifications to the front and rear designs. As a brief reminder, the Volkswagen up! won the 2012 World Car of the Year title.
