You know how you find yourself dreaming you could record the V8 roar only a Challenger Hellcat does and then play it on your Prius’ infotainment repeatedly? Well, Seat has figured out a way to create a soundtrack that uses the sounds the car makes while being on a road trip from London to Ibiza. TV presenter and DJ Zoe Hardman will be in charge of both mixing the “song” and driving the car, of course.
The Spanish design-led automaker has announced the partnership today while the Ibiza to London trip will take place August 22 through 26. Both Zoe and Seat will post regular updates via their social media channels, and for those who want to follow it you should look for the #ibizatolondon tag. According to the car manufacturer, the Seat Ibiza soundtrack will debut on September 29th, at a party the company will throw in London.
It’s a proper way to promote the new Seat Ibiza 2015, a supermini car that targets young, aspirational women.The new Seat Ibiza 2015 retains its recognisable, stylish exterior design, whilst including a new infotainment system. The dashboard with an integrated touchscreen features a USB connector, Bluetooth, audio streaming, navigation and the smartphone connect option.
As to the partnership Seat sealed with the beautiful DJ, it seems to be just right. Here’s how Julie Carrington Head of PR for Seat UK commented the deal:
“Zoe is the perfect fit for the new SEAT Ibiza, elegant, successful and independent. We chose to partner with Zoe, as we feel she really resonates with our target audience, of young, aspirational women. All these may seem like the regular marketing talk, but you have to admit creating a soundtrack using sounds sampled along the way, including that of the car itself is quite cool.
