The yachting world is eagerly awaiting this year's edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, the first major international event of the boating season, to see what the big names in the industry will have on display and what they have been working on lately.
There will be multiple world debuts at the event next month, one of which comes from Italian luxury superyacht builder Sanlorenzo, which promises to showcase the 100-foot (30.5-meter) Sanlorenzo SX100 motor yacht.

The SX100 was initially introduced in Cannes last year, and since then, the company has been tight-lipped about the details of the new yacht, which has been highly customized based on the client's brief. At this year's edition of the boating show, the shipyard is expected to take the wraps off the new addition to its innovative and successful SX crossover range.

"Sanlorenzo’s low production numbers ensure unique builds and ample customization options – this strongly appeals to owners seeking to purchase a special yacht that reflects their own tastes and living philosophy. This new SX100 is no different and is sure to be another stunning bespoke Sanlorenzo build," said Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Sales Manager.

The yacht is the fourth model to join the SX line, but it's not the largest, as the company already released a 112-footer in the past. The sleek exterior design for the new model was signed off by Zuccon International Project, while Sanlorenzo took care of naval architecture.

Key features of the design include a generous lower deck beach club, along with the yard's signature fold-down terraces and a massive lounge and sunbathing area forward. What really makes it stand out, though, is the multi-functional transom at the stern, which can serve multiple purposes. It can be used as a sundeck, a beach club, and a tender garage. When used as a storage area, it can accommodate multiple water toys and a large tender of up to 18 feet (5.5 meters).

The interior is also impressive, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the yachting experience in generous living quarters centered around an expansive main salon with floor-to-ceiling windows that make the space light and airy and provide panoramic views of the seascape. According to Sanlorenzo, the use of extensive glazing helps to create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces.

Accommodation on board the SX 100 is offered for up to eight guests in four lavish staterooms, including the owner's master suite, a VIP, and two twins. They are all situated on the lower deck to provide increased privacy.

Both the common areas and the guest cabins boast a contemporary interior design with a neutral color palette that makes it look luxurious and cozy at the same time. Here and there, accent pieces in bright and bold colors play nicely against the neutrals.

As for the yacht's performance, grunt comes from four 800 hp Volvo Penta engines that will allow it to comfortably cruise at 20 knots (23 mph or 37 kph) and reach a top speed of 23 knots (26 mph or 43 kph).

Besides the brand-new SX 100 motor yacht, Sanlorenzo will showcase an impressive variety of vessels from its SL, SX, SD, and SP ranges at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival.
