The first-ever all-electric Rolls-Royce model will make its North American debut at the Monterey Car Week. And it is bright pink! Actually, Rolls-Royce has a sophisticated name for the new shade.
The electric super coupe will be on display at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering, starting this Friday, August 18. That is when Rolls-Royce Bespoke will bring a new collection of colors with the Spectre. The official photos show a Spectre in Morganite, in combination with aero elements in black.

The car rides on 23-inch seven-spoke partial polished wheels. There is a Cashmere interior with Scivaro Grey highlights and Obsidian Ayous wood trim.

This week, Rolls-Royce will also present the new Starlight Doors and illuminated front fascia. The latter integrates 5,500 stars placed around the nameplate, while the former comes with 4,96 stars that illuminate inside the cabin.

The Spirit is another novelty that will be introduced at Monterey Car Week. The feature should provide a thorough connection between the car and the owner and also allows them to customize everything that is digital on board the car. They will thus be able to choose a color for the instrument dials to match the interior design, for instance.

The Spectre proudly stands as the luxury brand’s first electric model. Underpinned by the “Architecture of Luxury,” as the Phantom and the Cullinan SUV, it was unveiled last fall, in October 2022. First deliveries are set to take place in Q4 or 2023.

It is set in motion by two BMW-sourced permanently excited synchronous motors, each mounted on an axle. Together they bring 577 horsepower (585 PS) and 664 lb-ft of torque. The Spectre can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph) in 4.4 seconds.

The 102-kWh battery pack adds 1,500 pounds (700 kilograms) to the weight of the car that comes from a company that has never built light models. The Spectre tips the scales at 6,559 lbs (2,975 kg). The battery pack allows the almost 3-ton Spectre to drive as far as 323 miles (520 kilometers) according to the WLTP testing cycle, before it needs to be plugged in again.

In the United States, the electric Rolls-Royce starts at $420.000.

What is Morganite??

Rolls-Royce exhibited a Spectre in Morganite back in April, at the Shanghai Auto Show. Morganite is a shade between mauve and dark rose, RR explained. Back then, the luxury carmaker combined it with a Gunmetal roof and hood.

The new addition to the Rolls-Royce’s portfolio is inspired by a rare gemstone by the name of Morganite, which is actually a combination of pink and orange.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre in Morganite, which will be on display at Monterey starting this upcoming Friday, also comes with a cabin in Grace White leather, highlighted by Ardent Red details, creating a striking visual contrast.
