Whenever you want exclusivity, low weight and excellent handling, there are a handful of specialized manufacturers who will build a car specifically for you, to the last detail. However, when you say limited production run and race car for the road, Ford doesn’t immediately come to mind.
However, they may be putting their road-legal Fromula Ford car into very limited production. Why would they do that? Well, their 1.0-liter powered car, with 205 hp managed to snatchthe 11th fastest ever time around the Nurburgring, beating cars considerably more powerful and expensive (and heavy).
If the car were to become a reality, only some 20 to 40 examples would ever be built, and they would feature the same 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, detuned to produce around 160 hp. Price-wise, according to autocar.co.uk, the production version would reportedly cost under £50,000 (€62,700 / $80,700).
