For some reason, most custom bikes starting off as a casual Moto Guzzi end up being nice and round, with smooth edges and an almost beefy attire. Far from being anything wrong with that, we were somehow longing for a more extreme approach, but the wait is over: Rno Cycles' Opal has not only provided the long-sought after sharpness, but indeed so much more.
After being left in a corner for many years, sun shone once more upon this '82 V50 III: a common project of Rno's Arno Overweel and Goparts, the Opal was created as a bold statement, an outstanding advertisement for the performance its builders can deliver.

Even from afar, the Opal's skinny and razor-sharp profile is strangely captivating: it's a cafe-racer and yet so much more, with its incredibly aggressive stance and pointy design. Having lost the electric starter, the Opal will only come to life by means of a kickstarter; however, the entire bike has become lighter and tidier, and has gained an almost surreal lightness.

CAD was used to create parts of the frame, the amazing swingarm, tank and fairing, while Ben Oud's Kustom Paints took care of the top-notch color scheme. The Opal is basically built with Rizoma parts and custom designs from Rno Cycles, and the whole bike looks like no other Moto Guzzi we've seen so far! Tipped by BikeEXIF.
