Luca and Fabio Pozzato of Officine GP Design have built yet another bike which is so cool that it's really hard to describe. After they left ups almost speechless with their Pathos, it's time for a new treat, in the shape of the Essentia, a Triumph Bonneville custom bike commissioned by... a lady.
A quick look at the new bike is proof enough that Stefania (the owner) is a steampunk fan. As Pozzato brothers declare, it was she who wanted a timeless design which would endure the passing of time and remain as ageless and unchanged, so this amazing build had to involve more than some welding and tinkering.

Officine GP went on using steel, aluminium and bronze, but have not been shy to bring in organic materials such as leather and even wood. The result is a bike which could really shine in any Bioshock edition, but which is also loaded with the latest in motorcycle technology.

A H-D fork replaced the standard one and Brembo calipers were loaded to squeeze the discs loaded on the Kineo rims. Rizoma aftermarket parts have been also used, complementing the hand-made ones. All in all, the Essentia required no less than six months. We like the Essentia thousandfold more than we loved the Pathos, and if Officine GP Design plans to keep on doing things this way, we'll surely see the guys making it big soon.
