Renault is focusing hard on the Indian market, hoping to provide just the right sort of blend between affordability and brand image. Thus, the French automaker has revealed the Pulse sub-compact hatch, which it describes as an upscale compact car developed for the Indian market by Renault’s Design Center in Mumbai.
Scheduled to hit the market in January 2012, it’s been designed with broadest customer segment in mind. It follows from the launch of the Fluence sedan and Koleos crossover onto the market that will also see the Duster and an unnamed sedan.

Pulse comes equipped with the 1.5 dCi engine and features stuff like Renault’s usual smart access key to open and start the car by just pushing a button or the automatically folding outside mirror.

Orders will begin being taken at the New Delhi Motor Show in January 2012.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
